Callaway ERC Soft Performance

Exceptional Feel and Long Distance

The ERC Soft balls provide an exceptional feel while still maintaining impressive distance.

The High Energy Core helps increase ball speed and distance from tee to green, and their High Speed Mantle boosts resilience and speed.

Enhanced Ball Speed and Control

The balls are far off the tee, which is also true for golfers with slower swing speeds. They also maintained a decent spin on wedge and approach shots.

The feel of the irons is excellent, too, with that satisfying "thud" sound made on contact.

One minor downside I noticed was slightly firm feedback from the putter. The Triple Track Technology for alignment more than makes up for the feedback.

Callaway ERC Soft Composition

The Callaway ERC Soft Golf Ball is comprised of three key components:

  • HyperElastic SoftFast Core: This core technology increases ball speed while still feeling soft. The low compression of the core contributes to the desired combination of distance and softness.

  • GRIP Urethane Coating System: Covering the ionomer layer, the GRIP Urethane Coating System promotes more spin and control around the green. The unique cover material pairs well with the HyperElastic SoftFast Core, enhancing the ball's performance.

  • Ionomer Cover: The ionomer cover is responsible for added durability, making the ERC Soft Golf Ball more resistant to wear and tear from extended use on the golf course.

The ERC Soft offers golfers a low-compression, high-performance option in a soft, premium golf ball.

Unique Hybrid Cover

The innovative PARALOID Impact Modifier from Dow provides a multi-material construction that contributes to these balls' exceptional feel and performance.

That sounds very technical, but not only did it feel like I was getting the full advantage and impact of distance with high launch and low spin, but the soft feel, durability, and greenside control were also impressive.

The hybrid cover works in tandem with the high-energy core and high-speed mantle, which gave me a nice combo of a greater ball speed while maintaining control around the green.

Advanced Alignment from Triple Track Technology

The more focus you can have on putting alignment and properly setting up to hit your target, the better.

The Triple Track Technology on the Callaway ERC Soft balls significantly improves putting accuracy.

It makes a notable difference, as the three lines on the ball utilize Vernier Visual Acuity to enhance alignment compared to regular side stamp alignment aids.

Value: Are the Callaway ERC Soft Golf Balls Worth it?

After playing with the Callaway ERC Soft balls, they deliver on their promise of providing excellent distance, soft feel, and greenside control.

The Triple Track Tech adds that enhanced visual to help you confidently line up your putts, which is always a plus. While I usually have a soft spot for Bridgestone golf balls, these Callaway golf balls have impressed me.

If you're looking for a reliable golf ball that delivers significant performance from tee to green, I'd highly recommend the Callaway ERC Soft Golf Balls.
