How did I test the two Cobra drivers?

Both drivers were tested indoors on Trackman using RCT balls.

Specs of the drivers tested:

Aerojet: 9.0 Degrees of Loft, Standard Lie, Standard Length, Regular Flex, Mitsubishi Chemical Kai'li White 60 gram graphite shaft.

LTDx: 9.0 Degrees of Loft, Standard Lie, Standard Length, Regular Flex, Project X HZRDUS Smoke IM10 60 gram graphite shaft

Overall Swing Enjoyment

In terms of performance, they are both great drivers that offer something to all handicap levels, and you honestly can’t go wrong with either.

If I had to buy one today: LTDx

Performance-wise, they both bring what they advertise, but I love the LTDx look way more, and even though there isn’t anything “wrong” with the Aerojet’s look, the LTDx looks more stunning.

Since the LTDx is also cheaper, it has way better value.

Here is more detail on why I graded each category the way I did:

Appearance

It is interesting how they differ in appearance, and you would think the newer of the two, the Aerojet, would have all these new design inputs and enhancements.

Reality: As much as I like the Aerojet and think it’s a nice club, it looks more like a toy (not in a derogatory way) than the LTDx. The LTDx looks sharper and has a much more appealing aesthetic, capped off by that beautiful infinity symbol sweet spot.

Winner: LTDx

Sound

The sound for both the Aerojet and LTDx are excellent. They have a solid sound and nice crack, which gives a sense of reliability.

I almost wanted to give the lean to the LTDx, given the explosive infinity symbol sound right off the sweet spot, but to be fair to the Aerojet, they are tied.’

Winner: Tie

Feel

Even though the drivers look different, the feel is very similar. They are both smooth-swinging clubs, and the enjoyment level is high with both in your hands.

Winner: Tie

Distance

The distance numbers wise from the Trackman when testing both the Aerojet and LTDx were relatively close. However, the LTDx graded slightly higher overall.

Also, I could still get more out of the LTDx, but I had to settle for whatever the end result was because my swing was still gaining form.

I am just basing this on the Trackman numbers from both drivers' sessions.

Winner:  LTDx

Forgiveness

Both drivers are built to give you that forgiveness on off-center hits, and both do the job admirably.

In swinging them, I couldn’t tell any difference. Maybe there is some deep-dive data in there somewhere to set them apart, but from the pure feel and experience of the clubs, they both give you the forgiveness you need.

Winner:  Tie

Accuracy

Both the Aerojet and LTDx felt very stable in terms of accuracy. Most of my drives ended up in a nice spot on the fairway. That is also with a pretty underwhelming driver swing I was working with at the time of testing, so both drivers helped me out.

Winner: Tie

Overall Swing Enjoyment

The Aerojet and LTDx were similar in feel, given the Cobra lineage, and provide many benefits to the beginner, high, and mid handicap golfer.

However, I don’t want to say it’s JUST because of the looks, but the LTDx was more enjoyable to swing overall.

Winner: LTDx

Which handicap levels are the Cobra LTDx and Aerojet drivers best suited?

All handicap levels could play the LTDx or Aerojet, as they are pretty balanced and reliable.

Final Thoughts on the Aerojet vs LTDx

Safe to say, Cobra has delivered with both drivers. They perform very well and feel very durable and delightful to swing.

The problem is I feel like they regressed in design appearance with the Aerojet. When comparing the two, the LTDx almost looks like it was released with a nice upgraded look AFTER the Aerojet, when the reality is the Aerojet is the chronologically succeeding driver.

Given that they offer similar performance, yet the LTDx is better looking to me and a good chunk of change cheaper, sign me up for the LTDx all day long.
