If I had to buy one today:
G430 MAX
I think it is pretty obvious by the chart, but the G430 MAX just felt way more complete and advanced. It's worth spending extra on it.
Here is more detail on why I graded each category as above:
Appearance
There are a lot of similarities between the two drivers. However, minor improvements were made to the appearance of the G430 MAX.
Adding a bit of yellow to the head makes it pop, and the drill design additions look more seamless on the G430 MAX than the more industrial-looking G425 MAX.
Winner: G430 MAX
Sound
The sound of both these drives would not be near my favorite; however, the G430 MAX has improved over its predecessor. It is more muted and not as bad as the G425 MAX.
Winner: G430 MAX
Feel
Both drivers have a great feel swinging them in terms of aerodynamics and overall enjoyment.
In this sense, there is no clear-cut winner. Both are solid.
Winner: Tie
Distance
The enhancements on the G430 MAX show through in terms of distance, and the club gives you what it can in that area.
I wasn’t shy about noting in my review of the G425 MAX that although it felt good to swing, the clubhead felt like it was holding back on distance.
Winner: G430 MAX
Forgiveness
It is close, but the G430 MAX is more forgiving than its predecessor. The distinct advantage is in diluting the spin that its face generates.
I noticed the tendency for more of my drives to have too much spin when I was testing the G425 MAX. However, the face of the G430 MAX did a better job of reining this in.
Winner: G430 MAX
Accuracy
They were both consistent, but I remember hitting one off the neck during the round I played with the G430 MAX that still made it out ~250 yards and was in the middle of the fairway.
It's tough to compete with that feeling.
Winner: G430 MAX
Overall Swing Enjoyment
The feel of swinging both clubs was similar. The performance was noticeably improved on the G430 MAX.
I am glad PING actually made discernible improvements to the G430 MAX and not just change some of the color/look.
Winner: G430 MAX

Last Thoughts on the G425 MAX vs G430 MAX Drivers
Overall, the improvements incorporated into the G430 MAX driver were quite noticeable.
The enhancements made on the G430 MAX over its predecessor are a testament to PING taking feedback from their previous model and iterating appropriately.
The look is nicer, and pops, the distance, and forgiveness are improved, and even the sound is greater than the G425 MAX.
It’s funny because the upgraded models of drivers may not be that different or have minor improvements, but the G430 MAX is on another level compared.
You will enjoy it; the performance refinement over the G425 MAX is measurable.
