How did I test the G430 Max driver?

I warmed up and hit a bunch of balls on the driving range and also played a full round with it on a beautiful sunny day.

The specs of the PING G430 MAX I used had 9 degrees of loft and the Alta CB 55 gram graphite regular flex shaft.

Bottom Line

To sum it up in a sentence, the PING G430 MAX driver stands out with its improved design, sound, feel compared to the G425 MAX.

In an even more concise breakdown…

It is a sexy driver. It feels sexy, looks sexy, and sounds sexy.

It felt effortless to swing, and the forgiving driver head made me feel like I was swinging one of those giant kids' plastic golf clubs when making contact with the ball. I mean this in a very good way.

I recommend getting the PING G430 MAX if you are looking for a new driver. You won’t be disappointed spending the dough on it.

The distance is fantastic, and the big driver head (460 cc) is very forgiving on direction in terms of mishits if you don’t square up the sweet spot. And when you do square it up, effortless power and feel.

One of the drives I hit during my round with the G430 MAX was in on the heel (see below photo). Yet, it still had only a minor fade and held the line pretty well up the left side of the fairway, and ended up in the fairway about 250 yards away.
